Green Lantern: Emerald Knights review

In this 2011, direct to video DC animation movie, Nathan Fillion is back to voicing the greatest superhero of them all: Hal Jordan.

In a time when the Corps is faced with a huge threat that might bring the prophecy of the Destruction of Oa to be, Hal is tasked with a young new recruit called Arisia.

While the Green Lanterns monitor the rebirth of Krona, now commanding an army of Shadow Demons from the anti-matter realm, Hal and later Sinestro tell her about some of the greatest heroes the Corps has ever brought forth: Avra the First, Kilowog, Laira, Mogo and Abin Sur.

Through these tales, they try to make her see what it is to be a Lantern, what drives them and how it pushes them beyond their own boundaries at times.

But as Arisia comes to fulfill the Prophecy, she earns her own page in the Book of Oa.

This isn`t a bad movie at all, though often overseen in favor of some other DC animations out there, as face it, Green Lantern isn`t the most popular of the Justice League members in fanbase.  But Nathan Fillion is great voicing him and i think they should consider him when they are going to do the new movie at last!

The short tales are entertaining and give a lot of different sorts of stories, from family drama to pushing bonds of friendship, and all in all, this is a nice entertaining gig to spend an hour and a half of your time.

Though don`t expect flashy anime drawings, this is one of the `american style` movies mind you!

Because remember:
